Hatch Mott MacDonald to Expand, Relocate Pearland Office
PEARLAND, Texas – Hatch Mott MacDonald (HMM) has announced plans to expand and relocate its Pearland office to a new location. HMM is currently located at 2950 Cullen Parkway and will move to its new location on the fourth floor of the Shadow Creek Business Center at 11233 Shadow Creek Parkway in mid-November.
Headquartered in Millburn, NJ, HMM is a leading North American engineering and environmental consulting firm with a century of worldwide experience providing comprehensive services in the areas of infrastructure, pipeline, utility, tunnels, transportation, water, and wastewater markets. The Pearland office serves as headquarters to HMM’s Pipeline Division and Houston Subdivision.
PEDC and the City of Pearland began working with HMM on this relocation earlier this year. PEDC approved an incentive package to secure the HMM relocation. The incentive package is based on the organization’s agreement to retain current jobs in Pearland and its investment in the community.
HMM is ranked the 5th largest full service firm of this kind in the United States Pipeline Industry. HMM’s Pipeline Division provides full engineering services in virtually all aspects of the pipeline transmission industry. HMM offers a broad spectrum of project management, engineering and ancillary field services experience that enables the company to offer in-house total project capability including project development, feasibility studies, design, procurement, survey, right-of-way, construction engineering and inspection, program and construction management and asset information management.
“We’ve always had an outstanding experience in this community since our office first opened over ten years ago,” said Berkeley Beard, Principal Manager and VP with HMM. “Pearland is home to many of our valued employees and offers our organization great accessibility to our pipeline clients in the Houston region.”
“The decision to reinvest is the greatest compliment a company can extend to a community,” stated Pearland Mayor, Tom Reid. “We thank the management of Hatch Mott MacDonald for their continued investment in Pearland and wish the entire Hatch Mott MacDonald team continued success both in our community and throughout North America.”
The new 20,000 SF office will house HMM’s 70 employees with room for up to 30 additional employees. In addition to the full-time employees that provide specialized services for HMM’s Pipeline Division, approximately 50 field personnel also report directly to this office. With 70 HMM offices located throughout the United States and Canada, the Pearland office is one of seven dedicated specifically to pipeline services. Pipeline Division personnel are also located at six other HMM offices, with future expansion of pipeline personnel planned into other HMM offices, as well as opening new offices dedicated to pipeline services.
The Shadow Creek Business Center is located in Shadow Creek Ranch, one of the nation’s most successful master planned communities. Phase I, an 80,000 SF Class-A office building, is complete and fully occupied. The developers are currently pre-leasing Phase II of this master-planned campus which will include a 105,000 SF Class A office building. Surrounded by upscale retail and residential developments and located near State Highway 288 and Beltway 8, this commercial complex provides convenient access to the entire Houston metropolitan area.
