PEDC Announces Election of Officers
PEARLAND, Texas — Leadership from the Pearland Economic Development Corporation is pleased to announce the election of officers to its 2015-16 Board of Directors. The Board elected Rushi Patel as Chair, Lucy Stevener as Vice Chair and Brandon Dansby as Secretary. The elected officers will assume their duties at the November 19th board meeting.
Rushi Patel joined the PEDC Board in 2009. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Pearland Medical Center (an HCA Affiliated Hospital) and the Pearland Municipal Management District No.2. He has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Pearland Adult Reading Center and as Secretary/Treasurer for the Pearland Chamber of Commerce. He is the Vice President of Omkar Enterprises Management, LLC, a hotel development company.
Lucy Stevener joined the PEDC Board in 2001 and previously served as Chair for the Pearland Chamber of Commerce. She is the former co-owner and hospital administrator for Pearland Animal Hospital.
Brandon Dansby joined the PEDC Board in 2011 and previously served as Chair of the Pearland Chamber of Commerce, Board Member for the Development Authority of Pearland, and Past Treasurer of Rotary Club of the 288 Corridor. He is also a member of the Pearland Lions Club and currently serves as senior vice president for Pearland State Bank.
Established in 1995, the Pearland Economic Development Corporation promotes, assists and enhances the economic development activities and quality of life within Pearland, Texas. In bringing new and existing businesses to the area, the organization attracts capital investment to add to the city’s tax base and helps to increase the number of employment opportunities for residents.
