In July 2026, AOI began buildout on two adjacent properties in Pearland's Lower Kirby, adding nearly 400,000 square feet of manufacturing capacity to the company’s regional footprint.

The expanded campus will support increased production of AOI’s 800G and 1.6T optical transceivers, a critical component of modern AI infrastructure that allows network devices to communicate over fiber optics for fast, long-distance data transmission. The project was supported by the City of Pearland and the PEDC, which worked with AOI to match the sites to the company’s manufacturing needs.

“

Pearland offers us access to a strong workforce, excellent infrastructure, and room to scale our operations. These facilities will be instrumental in supporting our long-term growth strategy.

Dr. Stefan Murry, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, AOI
