Pearland is located in the “Energy Capital of the World,” with over 3,000 energy sector companies specializing in the exploration, extraction and transportation of both oil and gas resources, as well as companies servicing equipment and providing engineering services in all aspects of the industry. Some of Pearland’s largest employers are energy service companies and include such companies as Endress+Hauser, Baker-Hughes, Weatherford International and Dover Energy.

Swiss-based Endress+Hauser, opened a 112,000 square-foot Gulf Coast Regional Campus in Pearland’s Lower Kirby District. Endress+Hauser is a global leader in measurement instrumentation, services and solutions for industrial process engineering, providing process solutions and optimizing processes in terms of economic efficiency, safety and environmental impact.  Its customers come from various industries, including chemical, food & beverage, life sciences, power & energy, primaries & metal, oil & gas and water & wastewater. The campus houses teams to support Endress+Hauser’s products, solutions and services, along with partners SpectraSensors, Analytik Jena, and Vector Controls and Automation Group.  The campus also offers areas for calibration, repair and training, including a state-of-the-art PTU.

Energy Rental Solutions, a Caterpillar dealer dedicated to the specialty rental business, opened its new headquarters facility in Pearland. The 40,000 square-foot building includes office and warehouse space and is located on a 12-acre site in the Rice Drier Commerce Park on Rice Drier Road and State Highway 35. The facility is home to approximately 55 employees, including executive management, sales, operations, administrative, service technicians and warehouse personnel.

Tool-Flo Manufacturing relocated its company headquarters, training and manufacturing facility in Pearland’s Lower Kirby District. Owned by IMC Group, a Berkshire Hathaway company, Tool-Flo Manufacturing is one of the world’s largest companies for metalworking products and metal removal technology.  The company manufactures precision carbide, metal-working tools and products for the oil/gas, automotive and medical industries. The 80,000-square-foot facility is home to 150 employees, including management, engineering, sales, operations and administrative personnel.

PT Solutions completed construction on its new headquarters and warehouse facility in the Lower Kirby District.  One of the top 100 suppliers of industrial tools in the United States, PT Solutions is owned by IMC Group, a Warren Buffett, Berkshire Hathaway company. The 46,000-square-foot facility is adjacent to Tool-Flo Manufacturing’s new operations on the same 15-acre site. It is home to 43 employees and also serves as the company’s new distribution center.

MultAlloy, a division of Texas Pipe and Supply, opened its 225,000 square-foot warehouse and operations facility on S. Main. Founded in 1974, MultAlloy (formerly FloWorks) is a leading specialty supplier of pipe, valves, fittings and related products.  Core global markets include the energy industry, oil & gas-upstream, midstream and downstream, and it also serves the chemical, power, marine, mining, pulp and paper, food and beverage and many more industrial market segments. The facility consolidated the company’s existing Houston operations and group management from several companies into one regional facility and is home to approximately 80 employees.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International Corporation (MCO-I) celebrated the grand opening of Pearland Works, its new office, manufacturing and service facility in Pearland’s Lower Kirby District. It is the first U.S.-based manufacturing and service location for the Japanese-owned company. The 180,000-square-foot facility, located on Kirby Drive, houses packaging and assembly, vertical and horizontal rotor storage, repair and maintenance services, administrative offices and a training center.   In addition, MCO-I also constructed a 49,500-square-foot warehouse facility.

Dover Energy opened a 150,000 square-foot manufacturing and operations facility in Pearland’s Lower Kirby District. Dover Energy is the energy division of diversified global manufacturer Dover Corporation, a Fortune 500 company with 200 locations and 34,000 employees worldwide.   A manufacturer of specialized products and valves, the company provides highly engineered solutions for the safe and efficient extraction and handling of critical fluids worldwide in the drilling, production and downstream markets. The facility, which consolidated multiple Texas locations into one regional facility is home to over 250 employees.

Burns & McDonnell constructed a 3-story, 39,000 square-foot facility on an 11-acre site at Beltway 8 and Tom Bass Parkway. Burns & McDonnell is an American architecture and engineering company based in Kansas City, Missouri, and is owned 100% by its employees.

Brask, Inc. Neela opened its 90,000 square foot facility in Pearland. The facility produces custom fabricated heat transfer equipment and allows Brask, Inc. Neela to service local petrochemical and chemical customers throughout the Houston region and beyond. The facility includes a welding, machining and assembly department, as well as a clean room for high-alloy welding.
