In 2010, Louisiana-based Brask, Inc. constructed a new manufacturing facility in Pearland. The custom-fabricated heat transfer equipment manufacturer built a state-of-the-art fabrication facility on 9.45 acres in Pearland’s Industrial Drive Business Park. The strategic move allowed the company to better service petrochemical and chemical customers in Texas City, Freeport and Baytown as well as global clients.

Collaboration with PEDC

Having the support of city officials and developing long-term relationships with the business community and local government were key to Brask's decision to build its fabricating facility in Pearland. To assist in relocation efforts, PEDC issued a $3.44 million industrial revenue bond on behalf of Brask, Inc. for land acquisition and construction of their new facility.

In addition to PEDC’s assistance with land acquisition and attractive incentives, Brask, Inc. was drawn to the location’s proximity to the workforce, the area’s infrastructure and open communications with the City. The impressive fabricating facilities include 100,000 square feet of production area, a clean room for high alloy material, a sandblast shop and capacity for high-quality engineering, fabrication, repair and maintenance of products operating in energy-related industries.

2015 & 2024 Expansions

Brask, Inc. has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to Pearland through two major expansion projects supported by PEDC. In 2015, the company invested $6.3 million to grow its operations, adding 20 new jobs to its Pearland facility. Building on that success, Brask expanded again in 2024 with a $14 million investment and a new 40,000-square-foot facility, creating 25 additional jobs while retaining 48 existing positions. These projects underscore Brask’s confidence in Pearland as a strategic location for growth and innovation, reinforcing the city’s reputation as a hub for advanced manufacturing.
