Silverlake
Silverlake is a master-planned community and was the first major development on State Highway 288. The 1,000-acre community has 2,500 single-family homes and 230 acres of supporting commercial space. The community is within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Pearland.
Developed by Jefferson and Johnson Development Company in 1995, this community was the second highest selling housing development in Houston within 27 months of opening.
LASCO Development broke ground in 2001 on the Silverlake Village Shopping Center, adding several notable anchors of retail such as Target, Kohl’s, Cinemark and Randall’s. The retail center now has over 750,000 sq. ft. of retail space serving the South Houston regional market.
Silverlake is also home to Southwyck Golf Club, an 18-hole course that meanders through the community and around the 27-acre lake.
