Endress+Hauser Breaks Ground at New Gulf Coast Site
Endress+Hauser invests $38.5 million into a new 112,000 square-foot Gulf Coast Regional Campus. The company officially broke ground on March 7, 2019, at its new site in Pearland’s lower Kirby District, just outside of the Houston area. Completion is projected by the end of 2020.
Investing in the Gulf
“We continue to make investments that enable growth and further expansion in the US market,” said Matthias Altendorf, CEO, Endress+Hauser. “The campus investment will strengthen cooperation and relationships with our sales representatives, strategic partnerships and our customers. We are excited to continue expanding our presence and business in the Gulf region and look forward to growth in Pearland.”
Close Collaboration
The campus will offer areas for calibration, repair and training, including a state-of-the-art PTU. The facility will house teams to support Endress+Hauser’s products, solutions and services, SpectraSensors’ gas analysis systems for the U.S. and international customers and Analytik Jena’s product lines for laboratory instrumentation. The campus will have a building and warehouse location for Endress+Hauser’s partner for Sales and Service in the Gulf Region, Vector Controls and Automation Group.
Expanding in the Gulf
Pat Irwin, Endress+Hauser’s Area Vice President of the Gulf Coast region and Jared Boudreaux, Vector Controls’ President, both agree, “As we have grown our local market presence in this critical Houston area, this investment further strengthens our position and reaffirms our growth strategies for years to come.”
Designing and Building Sustainably
The project designer, Zeigler Cooper Architects, engineered a design with emphasis on Regional Texas Architecture. Responsiveness to the local climate, use of regionally authentic interior and exterior materials and attention to scale are critical to the success of the project. The building will be a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) “Silver” project as stipulated by the U.S. Green Building Council. The project will be led by Genesis Property Development.
