Millar, Inc. Debuts Headquarters and Manufacturing Facility in Pearland

Medical device manufacturer opens 56,000 square-foot headquarters, R&D, manufacturing, and warehousing facility in Pearland’s Lower Kirby District

PEARLAND, Texas — Leadership from the Pearland Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) and the City of Pearland joined Millar, Inc. today as the company opened its new headquarters and manufacturing facility in Pearland’s Lower Kirby District.

The state-of-the-art 56,000-square-foot facility is located on a five-acre site on N. Spectrum Boulevard in Pearland’s Lower Kirby District and is home to approximately 140 employees and Millar’s research and development and manufacturing capabilities.

Millar, Inc. is a leading developer and manufacturer of pressure sensor-enabled devices that partners with global leaders in technology, manufacturing, and healthcare to turn breakthrough technologies into life-saving medical innovations. Founded in 1969, Millar, Inc. pioneered the development of pressure sensor technology, directing its design and manufacturing expertise toward integrating that technology into catheters for life sciences and clinical applications.

“Millar’s selection of Pearland for its headquarters and manufacturing facility is a testament not only to our status as a community of choice in the greater Houston area but also to our efforts to become the region’s premier biomedical hub,” stated Pearland Mayor Kevin Cole.

“We are thrilled to welcome Millar to their new headquarters here in Pearland,” said PEDC President Matt Buchanan. “Today is possible after a years-long partnership, and we wish them continued success and growth.”

The move to Pearland was made possible through a partnership with the PEDC and Pearland city officials, who began working with Millar in 2017 on its relocation to Pearland. The site Millar selected for its facility was part of a tract owned by PEDC, which was sold to Millar.

The Lower Kirby District is a 1,200-acre mixed-use development in northwest Pearland, fronting South Beltway 8 and State Highway 288. There has been a concerted effort by the community to attract biotech and life sciences companies to this area, and most of Pearland’s biotechnology and life sciences employees are in the district.
