Syzygy Plasmonics exec: Why Pearland was the best HQ location
Syzygy Plasmonics creates a commercial-scale photocatalytic chemical reactor and is dedicated to decarbonizing the chemical industry by using light instead of heat power. Selecting Pearland for the company’s headquarters was the right choice, says Lynn Frostman, vice president of sustainability and corporate social responsibility at Syzygy Plasmonics.
Time was of the essence for the startup to get this new facility operational. Working with the city of Pearland and the Pearland Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) helped streamline the permitting processes. The company opened last fall in a 44,800-square-foot building on South Sam Houston Parkway, which is home to approximately 60 employees.
“Syzygy is helping put Pearland at the forefront of the clean energy industry,” said Matt Buchanan, president of the Pearland Economic Development Corporation. “With companies like Syzygy, we are creating a community that is an incubator for innovation.”
